@Virgo912Lady My fav was ‘The Reflex.’ That’s when I became a fan. John Taylor plays one of the ghosts in Ebony Scrooge with Vanessa Williams.

  • slaveofslaanesh:

I’m 24 and LOVE this band. me and my mum love them. Simon le bon yummy.

  • Virgo912Lady:

@faith2xxx I’m a 49-year-old African American who found John Taylor and Simon LeBon easy on the eyes back in the day. They still look good now. I’ve been a Duran Duran fan since I first heard Hungry Like the Wolf on a local radio station. The video took them to another level.

  • TheJessiegio:

@vegankimber me too sister I’m 38 yr. and I’m an african Europeen woman but I’ still love Simon Le Bon that’s no shame non pas du tout my sister!

  • SouthSdChi:

@vegankimber Girrrl….Where were you back in 84?! I was 10 yrs. old praying to God that I was just 15 yrs. older so I could meet that man and rock his world! I was the only one of my friends and didn’t care. And I’m a sistah from the south side of Chicago! (hence the name)
ps. Broke my heart in two when he got married. I bought the Elle magazine with her on the cover just to see what she had that I didn’t. LOL!!!

  • faith2xxx:

    @latinavixn YOU TOO!!!

  • faith2xxx:

@vegankimber I too am AA and love me some Duran Duran to this day. I used to have a killer crush on John Taylor back in the day, and I’m 47!

  • latinavixn:

@vegankimber Amen sister lol, me too but my crush was on John Taylor

  • Kellogs43able:

i thought their lyrics nonsense…but the grooves were timeless…the only time they ever messed up was when they tried to be a rock band…when it came to dance and pop no one could touch them !

  • Guybrushukuk:

get Decade on vhs to see the artistic ‘Stencil effects overlay’ sadly missing from this dvd version

  • Guybrushukuk:

so what’s this video really about? reptillians?

  • seldane77:

@vegankimber im a 37 yo mexcian american male who is not ashamed to admit it LOL!!!!

  • pistachioguy:

@vegankimber – LOL! There is nothing to be ashamed of!

During the time Duran ruled the eighties practically every male the world over (including myself) mimicked their mannerisms (and secretly envied them), and every female the world over swooned over them.

As I get older, I realize just how amazing they were. :-)

  • elysiannomad31:

@vegankimber LOL girl you ain’t the only one. I think most of us that came up in the 80s are Duranies.
