Karl’s a great musician, I’d love to see him perform some of his solo work live.
I say contemporariness pagan sounds but effectively these are re innovated pre Christian Pagan sounds and hymns.

@RobertoArceCorretjer For a sitar sound I just use an acoustic guitar. I only play like how a guitar would sound in a different tuning though. First I drop the low E to D. Then you know how you normally tune the 2nd string to the 4th fret of the 3rd? instead tune it to the 2nd fret. then tune the first string to the fifth fret of the second like you normally would.
@shamone12345678910 what do you play then? im trying to mimic the sound of the sitar with an electric guitar. Benn close to it, but not as close as i’d wish
The album name, Saurian Excorcism, means what actually? I can’t find anything except Sauria, reptile species o.o
@sNoTcReeD they dont.nile has to do with egypt.
I feel like playing Age of Mythology, lol.
Perhap’s it’s because my name is Isis, thus i feel like at home when i listen to this melody.
@sNoTcReeD Kinda has that egyptian vibe to it you know….
He should start incorporating a Sitar … would sound much better, not that it doesn’t sound good all ready.
really i dont see what either album had to do with Egypt, ancient or otherwise.
@rogerrogerdlf the fifth was me stating the four so it doesnt count
@JonDetert25 5 times

all the members of nile are ancient egyptian gods who for the time being have been entertaining us with middle-eastern themed music
all the members of nile are ancient egyptian gods who for the time being have been entertaining us with middle-eastern themred music
Whoa there… don’t give him too much credit. It’s not hard to write a down tempo hook and keep adding layers.
probably the best track of this album
))
))
saurian meditation was better i think
very talented musician ,,, nile’s ambient tracks are awesome too
I like this album, but the previous one was better.
sometimes i start to believe that karl has been possessed by some ancient pharaonic spirit during a trip to giza or maybe he has been there during another life back in the times of ancient egypt!
most of the ancient egyptian deities would be glad to have karl as a friend&musician!
No doubt Karl knows whats going down. He already died and has come back to the world of the living to share his knowledge!
its because he is a god, an omnipresent all knowing god in human skin…
he mastered all the egyptian shit
