This was filmed within the first few hours of opening day/grand opening. @AeonXero Indeed! Even with some traffic lights, going AROUND Calgary is a lot faster than slogging along 16 Avenue… They’re building a ring road around Edmonton, too…

  • shmuli9:

Wow… This is QUITE similar to Loop 1604 around San Antonio…

  • AeonXero:

@PondoSinatra07 Lmao! Are you for real? You do realize those lights will eventually go away, right? And I know the tunnnel problem isn’t looking good now, but it’ll improve. You are one impatient piece of shit. Name the time and place and i’ll gladly knock some sense into your ass.

Love the stop lights on the ‘ring’ road. Great planning there Calgary. Oh, and nothing like shutting down Barlow and refusing to fund a tunnel under the new airport runway so even more people are funnelled onto Deerfoot and there’s now only ONE way to get the airport. Brilliant planning there City Hall. Pathetic.

DAMN, if only we could drive as fast as the camera made it seem. 5 mins around town would be fucking AWESOME!!

  • bettmansucks:

Is an interchange going to be built at Crowchild Trail? Good to see part the first sections of the ring road finished. Looking forward to Edmonton’s Anthony Henday ring road NW section finished in 2011.
