we actually popped it ourselves. This was 26 years ago. We used air poppers and learned the hard way that you can’t run too many of those at once (fuses)… and you can’t pop it directly into plastic bags (melting). We spent the majority of the night popping it, and it took about 15 minutes to fill the car and then wrap it in the brown paper towel you normally see in bathrooms. a great night – almost topped the night we TPed a house with over 250 rolls. That was really fun too
