I looked up 71 Alan Road, Berowra Heights on Google street map. It’s just trees and I can’t see a driveway. Perhaps no house there, and therefore more likely to be a hoax?
I’d have to agree possibly a hoax. I’ve heard two versions – one where he mentions his name immediately before saying “hot water service” and another where he mentions his adress. If one version was edited it was smooth enough to sound continuous. But hope I’m wrong and it is real!

Cassette tape from the after-hours number at Rheem Industries, Brisbane, Australia. Apparently they showed an after-hours number in the phone book, but if you rang, what you got was an answering machine, you can hear the rest! Doubt if it was supposed to be an emergency number. A mate of mine had the original cassette about 15 years ago, was in VERY bad shape. Had it copied & cleaned up as much as possible at a recording studio next door, lost track of it soon after, and here it is on YouTube!

look at the address on google earth, there is a solar water system… he must not of been happy with the water company because his pool is empty haha
