The STEREO (Ahead) spacecraft caught this spectacular eruptive prominence in extreme UV light as it blasted away from the Sun (Apr. 12-13, 2010). This was certainly among the largest prominence eruptions seen by either the STEREO or SOHO missions. The length of the prominence appears to stretch almost halfway across the sun, about 500000 miles. Prominences are cooler clouds of plasma that hover above the surface, tethered by magnetic forces. They are notoriously unstable and commonly erupt as this one did in a dramatic fashion. The video clip shows about 19 hours of activity.

I am in the middle on guitar, Nick Hopkins is on the left, and David Cantrell on the right with his bass. *This was our first and only attempt and was not practiced, we just thought of a great song we all knew and I played it.

Hey this is my rendition of ‘She Belongs to Me’ by Bob Dylan, and its dedicated to my pup Jewly 
I hope everyone digs it. By the way, Jewly is a Pitbull mix that my family and I had saved from a shelter about a little over a year ago. She is particularly smart, and keen. Jewly is usually the first to get a listen of my tunes before anyone else does. And she has a habit to come find me when she hears my guitar. Lastly, pitbulls are really an amazing breed, however they get a really bad rap because of certain humans. Just remember, Pitbulls aren’t vicious by nature, it’s their owners that are responsible for their negative traits. Every dog has the ability to be taught to be loving and kind. Peace, BkRadio
