Stand Up For Snakes Video Contest: Welcome to my Stand Up For Snakes Video. Please remember to vote for my video after you view it. My name is Austin, I am 10 years old. I got my first snake when I wsa 4. Now I have 8 snakes. Snakes have a bad reputaion, however, most snakes are no aggressive. People fear snakes because they believe all snakes will bite them. Snake bites from pets will often happen when snake owners are not paying attention. Most snakes can be handled with out incedent. Snakes should be respected for several reasons. They are the gaurdians of our crops. This beautiful corn snake would be found near a barn or silo. He should be fat and happy because he could eat all the rodents he wanted. He would be keeping rats out of the food we eat. Snakes make great pets. Even my mom likes snakes. Snakes do not eat daily. They just need fresh water everyday and a clean habitat. I like my snakes because they are beautiful and interesting. I really like learning about snakes on the internet by watching Brian, Chewy, Cal and Laurie. Please remember to vote for my video.
