According to some station employees, creepy things have been occurring there for years, and only the fact that the place is haunted can explain it. Some say the typewriter types without anyone pressing the buttons, the attic door springs open when bolted shut and the sidewalk-sweeper starts-up without a battery or key. Everyone at the police station is awaiting the paranormal report results. Over the weekend, a Michigan woman at a bank left her photo id and correct address on an account application just before pulling-out a handgun and demanding cash from the banker. Three legged Cheetah called Lucky launches new Golf 6
Ogilvy Cape Town has come up with a wonderful ad for the launch of the Golf 6 that is bound to end up being one of our favourate ads for the year. The team flew up to Namibia, which has the worlds largest wild cheetah population, and found with a woman called Marlice van Vuuren who rehabilitates wild animals, including cheetahs at her game farm near Windhoek. She drove a three-legged cheetah that she was rehabilitating around in her bakkie. The Golf 6 found its launch star. Its director was Henry-Alex Rubin, an Oscar-nominated documentary director now directing commercials. All that could be seen was flat, empty plains and the airport, which is quite a novelty because in the past when I’ve expected landing into a country to be like that, it was always a concrete jungle. I happened to meet Susie and Vicki from New Zealand in the security queue, who were staying at the same hostel as me and we shared the airport transfer through the barren landscape to the sudden jolt of Windhoek which appears from nowhere. Chameleon backpackers itself is fantastic, very warm, clean and relaxed with a pool, kitchen and all the other mod-cons that you wouldn’t always expect a hostel to provide. Not bad for under 6 pounds a night B&B. The pools somehow manages to stay too cold to actually swim in however, despite the outside temperature hitting the 30′s. The city has a very relaxed pace of life, once you get used to the crazy roads…just because there is a little green man, does not mean it is safe to cross! Drivers seem to like the sound of their horns and tourists walking along are accompanied by every passing taxi (which seems to be every other car) beeping at them for business. There is a shopping mall and great craft market, in which you could easily spend your whole budget in a day …

Sarah The Cheetah Becomes The Official Fastest Animal On Land
CINCINNATI, USA: Covering 100 metres in 6.13 seconds, Sarah the cheetah set a new speed record for all land mammals on the 9th September 2008 in Cincinnati, America. Running on a specially designed 100-metre course at Cincinnati Zoo’s Regional Cheetah Breeding Facility at Mast Farm, Sarah eclipsed the previous record time of 6.19 seconds. Sarah, who is now officially the world’s fastest land animal, was so quick that she actually caught up with the lure that was encouraging her to hit such high speeds.
