Proving that it wasn’t a fluke, like some said, the Tasty Awards are giving our Queen the nod of a nomination in the “Best Comedy Series.” Jolene’s campaign to clean up redneck reputations nationwide is slowly succeeding and continuing on. Jolene’s imaginative recipes and uncanny sense of humor are once again some of the biggest reasons her regular youtube videos have received continued nomination for the award. The test kitchen in her double wide is still open to any number of guests, and as always, you don’t have to be famous to drop by her trailer, but you do have to keep it clean, for the students that frequent and watch her videos. She is still producing her cooking cooking shows featuring simple, low-cost recipes that even the kitchen fumblers can work with. This year a favorite on her website is her “Pink Champaign Cupcakes.” As always, her recipes contain lots of substitutions, common ingredients, and simplicity. Even the average shade-tree mechanic can succeed with her recipes. In their second award ceremony the Tasty Awards are still satisfying the continued absence of recognition.
